Admissions and Settling In
ADMISSIONS AND SETTLING IN
Most children settle into the nursery very quickly however we always ask you or your family member to stay with them for at least the first session to help the child adjust to the new surroundings. Your child’s key person will keep you updated on your child’s progress.
NURSERY OPENING TIMES
We are open term-time only.
Monday to Friday 9.00am -12pm sessions for children ages 3-5 yrs.
Mon to Wed 1.00pm -3.30pm playgroup sessions for children aged 2-3 yrs.
ATTENDANCE
Ensuring your child attends nursery every day is one of the most important things you can do to support their learning and development. We appreciate you telephoning us if your child is absent on 01274 490373.
SCHOOL MILK & SNACKS
Children are provided with a drink of milk at the nursery each day and a snack of fruit or toast. There is no charge for this.
LIBRARY
Children can borrow books from our library to read at home. This is another important way of supporting your child’s learning and development.
NURSERY CLOTHES
We do not have a uniform but ask you to ensure your child is in suitable clothing i.e. non-slip shoes/trainers are best for nursery especially when playing outdoors.
YOUR CHILD’S PROGRESS
Each child has a special book containing notes, records of activities, colourings and photos. This allows you to keep updated with their activities, progress, learning and development.
FIRST AID
Your child’s safety is of paramount importance to us. We have staff qualified in First Aid in case of accidents. Please tell us if your child has any particular health or dietary needs or allergies.
COMPLAINTS AND COMPLIMENTS

We take all complaints seriously and we would always encourage you to discuss any concerns with us. We also like to hear your compliments, so do let us know what you think we do well in.
